Auspicious Beginning - Vinayagaa

Unique speciality of Tamil Nadu is that, wherever you see a Pillaiyar Temple.  It is not necessary to have a roof and vimananm and name it "Temple".  Even under a Peepal tree our Pillaiyar will be sitting without a roof top.  Every street, rivier banks, near the foor of the tree etc there will be a Pillaiyar temple where Ganesa blesses in entire Tamil Nadu, which is not experienced for any other God.  In Tamil Nadu we affectionately call him Pillaiyar.  His the eledest son of the world's parents Parvathy and Parameshwara.  He is first called Pillai and to add respect he is called Pillaiyar in Tamil Nadu.  Kumaran also means Pillai or son.  In entire Bharat, Kumar or Kumarasamy denotes the younger son of Parvathy and Parameshwara called Subramaniya.  In Tamilnadu we say "Kumara Kadavul"(Kumara Lord) but we dont say Kumaranar.  We only say Kumaran.  Only the eldest son is called with respect as Pillaiyar.
He is first child and child god(Kulandaisamy) but he is existed before everything.  Pranavam is first than everything.  Entire Universe and all living things originated from Pranava.  Pillayar is the form of this Pranavam.  If you look at his head and tusk together, it will form as Pranavam.  Though Pillaiyar looks like a child, whose is of the form of the first formed Pranavam, he is the first who lifts up all his Bhaktas.  Avvaiyar one example is enough.  Avvaiyar is a Ganapathy Upasaki.  Avvaiyar meditated on the Pranava form of Vinayagar in between her eyebrows and composed the Vinayagar Agaval which encompasses the entire Yoga Sastram.  If we recite it, we will attain divine Knowledge.  There is one story about this Avvaiyar.  Sundaramoorty Swamigal and Cheraman Perumal Nayanar started for Kailasa.  They also thought of taking Avvaiyar along with them.  At that time, Avvaiyar was doing Vigneswara Pooja.  Sundaramoorty Swamigal and Cheraman Perumal Nayanar told her to finish her pooja soon and invited her to come with them to Kailasa.  She told them to continue their journey to Kailas and that, she will not hurry her pooja to Vinayagar and that, Vinayagar Pooja is Kailasa for her.  They started for Kailas.  Avvaiyar finished her pooja in usual pace.  Pillayar was so happy, that he carried her to Kailas with his trunk.   Sundaramoorty Swamigal and Cheraman Perumal Nayanar reached Kailas after she reached.  Cheraman Perumal sang the "Thiru Kailaya Gnana Ula".  This is in Arunagirinathar's Thirupugazh:
ஆத ரம்பயி லாரூ ரர்தோழமை
     சேர்தல் கொண்டவ ரோடே முனாளினில்
          ஆடல் வெம்பரி மீதே றிமாகயி ...... லையிலேகி

ஆதி யந்தவு லாவா சுபாடிய
     சேரர்

sErdhal koNd avarOdE munALinil: (by Cheraman Peruman**) who wanted to travel with his friend
Adal vempari meedhERi mA kayi laiyil Egi: mounted on a dancing horse all the way to the heavenly abode (Maha Kailas).
Adhi antha ulA Asu pAdiya: (There, the Chera King) sang the beautiful (antha=beautiful) Adhi UlA ex tempore;

Arunagirinadhar sings that, Lord Palaniandavar resides in Palani which is in such a Kongu Nadu which was ruled by Chera.  He connects Kumaraswamy like this to the entry of Sundaramoorty Swamigal and Cheraman Perumal Nayanar in Kailas.  Eledest son Pillaiyar is already connected in that connection.  He makes Avvaiyar reach Kailasa before, Sundaramoorty Swamigal and Cheraman Perumal Nayanar in the period of a tap of a finger.  Lord Ganesa bestows such a big Grace very easily.
